Monmouthshire Library Service has now launched Team Read', the Summer 2008 Reading Scheme.
Children who sign up will receive a moving image' scheme membership card and a foldout chart and stickers to track their progress. Throughout the summer they are then challenged to read six books, collecting bronze, sliver and gold stickers from the library as they go.
Chepstow Library will also be holding two special story and craft-time events in August as part of the fun. On Thursday August 7 you can listen to Chinese stories and make your own Chinese Dragon to take home and on Thursday August 21there will be the chance to enjoy sports themed stories and make a Hare and Tortoise Puppet.
Both events are free and open to all five to eight year olds. They last for approximately an hour and begin at 11.00 am. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
