There was standing room only in St Mary’s Priory Church for the ‘Thank You Concert’ which was held as part of the Chepstow Arts and Community Festival and to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the formation of the choir.

The whole evening, both musically and atmospherically was very special, with the choir in good voice and an audience that was both enthusiastic and supportive. Several individual members of the choir performed solo pieces and others came together to sing a duet, a trio and a quartet.

Whilst admission to the concert was free, as a token of thanks from the choir for the twenty years of support from the people of Chepstow and District, a retiring collection was held for church funds.

The choir’s spokesman said that this resulted in just less than £500 being donated and that this was the icing on the cake as far as the members of the choir are concerned. The choir extends a big, ‘thank you’, to everyone who attended and made the evening very special.
