Usk Civic Society and Usk Rural Life Museum have joined forces to challenge the people of Usk with an exciting competition to find out how well they know their town. The competition takes the form of a picture quiz of places in Usk for entrants to identify, and then, in up to 50 words, they have to write about what makes Usk special for them and include a photograph or draw a picture to show this.

There are various entry categories for adults, children, and families, with prizes of £50 worth of book tokens for family entries, £25 worth for individual winners, and free family membership to the museum for 2009.

Free entry packs are available now from the Rural Life Museum, which is open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 2pm to 5pm at week-ends. Completed entries have to be handed in to the Museum by August 30.

Winning entries will be announced and displayed at the Usk Show in the Civic Society & Usk Rural Life Museum tent, on Saturday 13th September.
