Beaufort Choir: The busy Beaufort Male choir returns to St Michael's church Llanvihangel Crucorney on Friday June 20 for a summer concert. Once again they are joined by the children of the Llanvihangel Crucorney Primary School Choir under the direction of Headteacher Mrs Kathryn Evans.

A Portrait of Beaufort' the choir's most recent CD was recorded at the church last summer following a very successful concert there. Soloists for this summer's concert are the choir's Musical Director Craig James and baritone Gerald Philips. To book tickets please ring 01873/890266 or 01873/890349. Pandy Show: This year's Show will be held on Sunday June 29 at Blaengavenny Farm Llanvihangel Crucorney by kind permission of Mr Phil Jones. It is in aid of Ty Hafan, the children's hospice in Wales, and will once again incorporate the annual vintage rally. The Show which opens at 12 noon promises to have something for all age groups. There will be a horse show and dog show, a gymkhana, fancy dress competitions, a sawmilling demonstration, and a wide range of other side shows and competitions. Local schools are once again invited to enter the children's football competition. Admission for adults, including all competitors, is £4 and is free to children under 16. The auction, a popular part of the Show will this year be held a day before on Saturday June 28 at 11am at Blaengavenny.
