It has been a hectic end of term at Llanvihangel Crucorney Primary School. Following their part in the successful concert at St Michael’s church at the end of June, Years 5 and 6 put on their own concert based on the Ancient Olympics in front of a packed audience in the school hall. On the following day the school’s football team won the schools’ final at the annual Pandy Show. At the end of the same week the annual school fete and barbecue was held which raised nearly £1000. The fete was a wonderful success with many activities taking place such as The Paws for Thought Dog Display team, as seen on Britain’s Got Talent and a Birds of Prey display. The Crucorney Young Farmers came along to organise some Welly Wanging. The head teacher, Kathryn Evans, was thrilled with the support from all school members and the local community and would like to thank them for their efforts.

In addition to taking part in the fete, the school‘s country dancing team was busy on the last two Saturdays, first at the Priory Centre in Abergavenny and then at the Llantilio Crossenny Fete. It’s safe to say that pupils and staff will be looking forward to their summer holidays!
