Pandy Ploughing Match: The 126th annual ploughing match will be held on Saturday September 6 at Cefn Farm, Old Monmouth Road, Abergavenny by kind permission of Mr R Watkins. This is the same venue as last year’s very successful match. In addition to the ploughing competitions there will be produce classes, sheep classes, a pony show, vintage tractor exhibits, a vintage auction and a display of rural crafts and produce. Schedules which include entry forms are available locally or from the Secretary Mrs J Phillips on 01873/860637. Admission to the Ploughing Match is £2 for all, payable at the gate.
Cwmyoy WI: The first meeting of the new session will be held at Cwmyoy Hall on Wednesday September 3 at 7.30pm with a talk on Homemakers’ furniture recycling by Robert Davies. New members are always welcome.
