Youngsters often complain of boredom and that there is ‘nothing to do’.

This is often more commonly heard in rural areas than in the towns.

In Pandy and district attempts are being made to bring together locals who have an interest in supporting children and young people.

An appeal has gone out from a newly formed group called the Pandy Kites which wants to provide youth activities in and around the area.

The new group hopes to enlist people with the time, ideas and enthusiasm to organise events and fundraising activities which involve young people.

Anyone who has something to contribute is invited to a meeting today at 3.30pm in Llanvihangel Crucorney Primary School.

Refreshments will be provided. Whether you can attend this meeting or not more information can be obtained from Kath Evans, Llanvihangel Crucorney head teacher, on 890416 or Chris Mepham, deputy chairman of Crucorney Community Council, on 890486.
