Successful Quiz: The recent Cwmyoy Hall Quiz proved to be a great success, with 16 teams competing. The winning team which didn’t live up to its name of ‘Half wrong, half right’ was composed of Maggie and Philip Laurent, Pat Wright and her grandson. The lively evening raised over £200 for hall funds.
Another film night: At the time of going to press, the two showings of Mamma Mia had attracted nearly 200 people. The next film, at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 27, promises to be equally successful. It is the gripping tale The Bank Job written by Dick Clement and Ian Le Frenais and allegedly based on a true story. Once again tickets have to be booked in advance and you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. Please book with Jim Keates on 01873/890843.
Cwmyoy W.I.: The November meeting is next Wednesday, November 5, at 7.30 pm in Cwmyoy Hall when there will be a talk by Helen O’ Leary about ‘Resuscitation Techniques’.
