FUN DAY: Skenfrith are holding their medieval Fun Day on Saturday July 12. As usual there will be a variety of events, competitions, exhibitions and stalls providing a great day out for local people of all ages.

There will be an on-going Medieval Archery exhibition and living history camp provided by the "Sons of the Dragon" re-enactment group; music from local band "Blue Coma", our famous Prize Board and Monmouth Town Band will play. As in previous years raffle tickets are now on sale for the Skenfrith Duck Egg Race. There will also be Wellie Wanging, Beat the Goalie and Tug of War competitions.

Refreshments will be available in the Church Hall and there will be many other traditional stalls and entertainments - from tombola to coconut shy, to face painting and bouncy castle.

The fun starts with the Car Boot from 1pm, with the Fun Day Events from 2pm onwards. See you there!

COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning held in Skenfrith on Wednesday 4th June was a great success. Frances David's house and garden buzzed with people. Frances and Jill Bacon were the organisers and over £600 was raised for Mission Aviation Fellowship.

ORGAN FUND: Pam Pugh and Kath Jasper and friends have been serving tea and cakes in St. Bridget's Church, Skenfrith, each weekend since the Bank Holiday weekend. They hope to continue to do this until Fun Day.
