The newly-formed Silver Screen, Usk, opened its monthly film night at Usk Memorial Hall with a highly successful showing of Mamma Mia. Tickets sold out very quickly, and over 200 people were seated in the hall for the screening. In true cinema style, the refreshments available included traditional ice cream November’s film is due to be screened on Thursday, November 20. Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller star in The Edge of Love, alongside Matthew Rhys as Dylan Thomas. Tickets for this showing will be available from November 1.
December 29 will see Keira Knightley again, this time as The Duchess. Tickets will be available from December 8.
Tickets for all the films, at £4 each, can be bought from Lindwall’s newsagents, or by post only from Silver Screen Usk, Room 3, The Sessions House, Usk, NP15 1AA. Cheques should be made payable to Silver Screen Usk and should include an SAE.
