A book entitled Usk Castle, Priory and Town is to be launched by Usk Castle Friends at the Sessions House on Tuesday, November 11, at 7.30pm, to which all are welcome.
A number of local people have contributed to the book, including John and Jan Barrow, who have already published historical works about Usk, and Rosie and Henry Humphreys from Usk Castle.
The book takes the reader right back to the town’s earliest origins and its period under Roman rule. Subsequent chapters trace the town’s history, up to the present time as well as thoughts about the town’s future prosperity.
Usk Castle, Priory and Town will be available after the launch from the publishers, Logaston Press, and from Lindwall’s newsagents in Bridge Street, priced at £17.50 hardback and £12.95 paperback
