  Along with the release of a CD, Usk Youth Brass Band are riding high after a recent win at the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association Contest at Coleford. The Band played the March, Star Lake and a
  test piece called Divertomento by the well-known composer Eric Ball. Solos were performed by Maya Burchell-Haslett on cornet and Lauren Jones on euphonium, and Lauren was awarded the best soloist
  award for the entire section.
