The football session of Newport AFC is on the horizon with the pitch at the Newport Stadium in excellent condition with the surface looking like a bowling green.

 Several years ago I wrote an article about the oldest living Newport AFC supporter and at that time it was William Llewellyn, 91 years of age, who unfortunately died shortly afterwards.

 I have received a call from an interested party who is doing family tree research and is trying to trace other members of the Llewellyn family.

 One pointer is that this family kept the Royal Oak public house and some other family names which come to light are Florence Llewellyn and Louis or Lewis Llewellyn.
