People are delighted that the Transporter Bridge has re-opened and is operating from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 8 to 1 on Sunday.
The Visitor Centre is also open from 10 to 4 seven days a week.
It is run by the Friends of Newport Transporter Bridge.
People who are proud of our magnificent Bridge, and want to see it go on for another 100 years, are invited to join the Friends.
It costs just £5 a year and that includes two Journals a year. Ring me on 07802 487 042.
Also ring me if Members have not received the current Journal or if you haven’t renewed this year. Visit the matchstick model upstairs in the market and marvel at the painstaking work involved.
