WHILE thousands of Children this week have been playing in the snow, building snowmen and having the times of their lives, many parents have had to put their jobs on hold to look after their children due to school closures. Jean Franklin a full time sales assistant and Mum was left stranded by the snow this is what she had to say. "I think it is rediculous how schools can close their doors for a whole week because of 5cm of snow! These days no-one ever scemes to be prepared for any bad weather events. It is time teachers done their job instead of complaining that they are unable to get to the school because they are snowed in". Luckily Jean was able to find a friend to look after her 6 year old son who attends Ysgol Gymraeg Casnewyd for the week.

Also the M4 towards Bristol grinded to a hault this morning as the Severn Bridge and Old Severn Bridge where closed due to massive amounts of ice falling 150ft in the air onto the road of oncoming vehicles, a number of car wind-screens where smashed due to the ice.

The MetOffice have issued severe weather warnings for South Wales Sunday night and Monday day for more heavy snow, so is the worst over yet?
