ABERFEST: This year Abertillery Community Partnership and the Abertillery and Cwmtillery Ward Communities First Partnerships, with support from Blaenau Gwent CBC, have combined with a whole host of community organisations to produce a variety of events, intended to capture the interest of every section of the community and get you involved.

Many o f the events are free, and, where there is an entrance fee, this will cover costs and support the activities of the community groups and organisations who are putting on the events.

GREEN GYM NEWS: Come and view the Green Gym Community Canvas with us next Wednesday afternoon at the Metropole Theatre in Abertillery.Tea and coffee will be provided.

Then join us for a local litter pick, and see how your local environment can stimulate you as you take some time out from your usual routine.

TALENT SHOW: Abertillery Comprehensive School Friends Association is hosting a talent show for pupils of the school, on June 25, at 7pm in the school theatre.

If you are a pupil at Abertillery Comprehensive, and have a particular talent, then see Mrs Cairns to enter the talent show.

There's a £50 prize for the winning group entry and £25 for the winning solo entry.

Pupils are invited to come along and support their friends. Tickets are £3, available from Mrs Cairns.
