FOOD CO-OP: Well, they just keep on growing!The latest co-op to open will be based at Queen Street Primary School, from March 7, between 3pm-4pm for collection.

A bag of fruit or vegetables costs just £2.50. Eggs are 50p a half dozen and salad bags are £1.50 - You can use your Healthy Start Vouchers to purchase your fruit and vegetables.

Fruit and vegetable co-ops are run by volunteers in the community, so if you would like to volunteer to help run the co-op each week, it takes about two hours to bag produce and take orders from customers.

FAMILY FUN AT EBENEZER: The children's events at Ebenezer are set to continue with: * Free Family Fun Day - Saturday March 15, 11am-2.00pm, at Ebenezer Chapel Park Place - Craft activities, bouncy castle, ball pit, refreshments, barbecue and live music.

* Holiday Club - Local children are set for a week of fun and games with the Ebenezer Baptist Church holiday club!

Based on children's ministry, Rock Zone Holiday Club material the week will be full of games, crafts, drama, music, and Bible stories.

The holiday club runs from March 25-27, 10am-noon, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Abertillery, and is open to all people aged 5-11.

Leader of the holiday club, Jan Ladhams, is excited about the event: "I think this year's holiday club is going to be great! It will be lots of fun, we'll learn a lot and it would be fantastic if lots of local children came along".

ABERBEEG CLASSES: The Aberbeeg Community Flat (in Cwrt Brachty) is now open, and already has a programme of classes in place: * Monday, 2pm-4pm - Computer class * Tuesday, 2pm-4pm - Crafts * Wednesday, 2pm-4pm - Crafts There's also a children's club running on Tuesday, from 4pm-5pm. It's open to everyone between the ages of 5 years and 11 years.

Officers from Blaenau Gwent CBC are at the flat every Friday between 11.30am-12.30pm.

SINGER/SONGWRITER: Aberbeeg Community Flat, in association with the ACW Night Out scheme, presents an evening with singer/songwriter Cheryl Beer, at Llanhilleth Institute, on Wednesday, March 12, at 7pm.

WIZARD TIME IN THE LAND OF OZ: Martha Lowman thoroughly enjoyed the Abertillery Youth Drama and Musical Society's production of the Wizard of Oz and here is her report: "It was a truly wizard show. What professionalism, what perfection. The young people taking part put their hearts and souls into the show.

"The Abertillery Youth Drama & Music Society's performance of this timeless favourite was without a doubt the best I have ever seen, and in my seventy years, I've seen a few.

"The singing, the dancing and scene changing was perfect. Well done to you all.

"Thank you for a wonderful night's entertainment. Your hard work and dedication paid off."
