TIME TO GET YOUR SKATES ON!: Guides in Cwmbran are looking forward to plenty of fun days out after receiving £5,000 from Awards for All Wales.
The Fairwater Guides, who meet at the Greenmeadow Community Centre, have been awarded the grant which will help them to fund their activities.
Leader Nicola Lloyd said the donation will be used to purchase a equipment storage unit, a camera and camcorder and also for some day trips.
"We try to take the girls skating or to Cadbury's World and there is also a special pop concert exclusive for girl guides we like to go to," she said.
