CWMBRAN police inspector Rory Waring promised to raise concerns over dangerous driving on the town's roads with Gwent Police's road policing unit.
At a recent community council meeting, councillor Tom Winter said deterrents need to be put in place on Cwmbran Drive to cut down the number of speeding and overtaking cars.
Councillor Sian Tulloch said residents want a 20mph speed limit enforced in Porthmawr Road in Northville to deal with speeding cars.
