DISCO IN THE INN: Starting from Friday, February 15, the Mount Pleasant Inn in Brynithel is hosting a disco every week for those aged 15 and under.

The fun runs from 6pm-9.30pm. Entry costs just 50p. Under 10s MUST be accompanied by an adult.

THE ITALIAN JOB: Hafodyrynys RFC plays host to the Italian touring team, Ombre Rosse Padova, on Friday, February 22. Kick-off is 2.30pm.

CHARITY DINNER: The Friends of Cwmtillery RFC are organising a Charity 6 Nations Dinner, on Friday, February 22, at The Penndragon. The guest speaker is Robert Jones, ex-Wales and British Lion.

BRIC-A-BRAC: The Gwent branch of Cats Protection is holding a Bric-a-Brac Sale on Saturday, February 23, at the St John's Ambulance Hall, Gordon Road, Blackwood starting at 1.30pm.

There will be a huge array of Bric-a-Brac, Books, Collectables and Cats Protection Goods. Refreshments will also be available.

All proceeds will be spent on food and veterinary treatment for the many cats in care waiting for new, loving homes.

KNOCKOUT POOL: The Mount Pleasant Inn in Brynithel is running a Prize Money Single Knockout Pool Tournament every Sunday, starting February 24.

Roll call is 11.30am-noon, and cue off starts at 12.30pm. Entrance fee is 50p. First prize is £15, runner-up £5.

CLAIRVOYANCE: The Six Bells Hotel is hosting an evening of clairvoyance, on Monday, February 25 with the Amazing Simon Locke'.

THERAPIES: A series of half-day sessions has been arranged specifically for those caring for people with a mental illness.

Each session is free and runs from 10am-12.30pm at Ebbw Vale Learning Centre and is followed by a buffet lunch. Refreshments are available from 9.40am onwards.

PSYCHIC: Blaentillery Club is hosting Psychic (medium) Veldey on February 28, starting at 7.30pm.

CONCERT: Abertillery Orpheus Male Voice Choir is in concert at St Michael's Church, on St David's Day starting at 7pm.

Performing alongside the choir will be Patrick Coleman, Kate Harris and organist Lyndon Stevens.

The event has been organised with the support of Abertillery and Llanhilleth Community Council. Tickets are either available on the door or from choristers, and cost £2.50.

All proceeds will go the The Orpheus on the occasion of their centenary.

A CRAZY TIME PROMISED: Abertillery Amateur Drama and Musical Society's new production, Crazy For You, runs from March 10-15 at The Metropole. Performances start at 7pm.
