LIFE IS STRANGE: After my tale last week of a poor emaciated cat that had visited my garden recently, on a grander scale, I realise that there are much worse things going on in the world to people. This was brought home to me by an incident at the train station the same day Scruffy the cat died.

A FURRY FRIEND: Scruffy was the name I gave to the marmalade cat with the black smudged nose that had started hanging around cautiously in my garden. It was thinner than thin and spat at me when I tried to approach it.

A FINE VINTAGE INDEED: The weather was kind to the Vintage Vehicle show on Sunday, July 8, as the weather has recently been so wet, there was a change of venue for the show from the Showfield in Cefn Forest to the Civic Centre in Pontllanfraith.

I LOVE THE PARC LIFE: Just before lunch, on Sunday, April 15, I went walking in Bryn Bach Parc, Tredegar. It was a beautifully warm, hazy, sunny day and at this early time the park was comfortably busy.
