Six Villages - Brynawel, Cwmfelinfach, Wattsville, Wyllie, Ynysddu and Gelli Groes.

Are you celebrating your wedding, anniversary, exam results, or organising an event or a social evening? If so, why not give me a call? I would love to include it in my column.

Off-Roaders: Unfortunately, it's that time of year when a minority of irresponsible parents allow their young children to ride their Christmas mini-motorbikes off road and on the public highway.

Everyone will be aware it is illegal for anyone under the age of 16-years-old to drive a motorised vehicle on public land.

This was not a concern to the very young rider on a mini-motorbike seen recently on the Sirhowy Valley Walk who was travelling between Wyllie and Ynysddu as fast as his small bike was able, with a young companion clinging to the back without a helmet. Where were his parents?

The rider of the mini motorbike was too young to appreciate the danger he was putting himself in, his companion and anyone else using the cycle path.

I applaud the brave lady from Crosskeys who was featured on the front page of the Argus recently when she photographed off-roaders on quad bikes riding illegally on Mynydd Y Grug and reported the incident to the police.

There is something we can all do to help stop this nuisance. These illegal riders live in our villages - they are a danger to themselves and the community.

If you have any information then report it to the police.

Crusaders Annual Quiz: There were ten teams at the annual Crusaders AFC General Knowledge Quiz held in the Forestier-Walker Conservative Club (Blue Club) Cwmfelinfach recently.

A closely fought contest saw the Blockheads beating the Dimwits by half a point, with a score of 73.5 out of 100. Agood evening was had by all.

Crusaders AFC and Ynysddu Welfare send their best wishes for 2008 to everyone.
