REALITY TV star Natalee Harris, from MTV’s The Valleys, is set to spread some festive cheer this Christmas when she appears at a charity party for teens in Abergavenny.

Business owner Myscha Dene, 23, from Abergavenny, decided to hold the Christmas party to raise money and awareness for infant death charity Sands, and asked the reality star to get involved.

Ms Dene, owner of Dreamscape Imagery, a photography business, contacted Ms Harris, 23, from Pontypool, one of the stars of the hit reality show.

Ms Dene said: "The event works in two ways really, as it’s somewhere safe and sociable for the teens in the area to go, and it’s raising money for a cause which is very close to my heart."

Sands is a stillbirth and neonatal death charity, which offers support to bereaved parents and funds research to help reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

She aid: "I asked Natalee to help out as I knew her being there would attract the age range we want to come along. Since I announced Natalee would be making an appearance, the number of tickets we have sold has doubled."

Around 300 tickets have been sold.

Ms Harris said: "When Myscha contacted me I thought it would be a nice thing to get involved in. We thought it would help raise the event’s profile as the people who watch the show are the target audience for the party too.

She added: "I’ll be available to meet the teens, do photos and autographs and generally have a good time. I can’t wait. It’s going to be really good, and it's all for a great cause."

The event on December 23 will be held at the King of Prussia, just outside Abergavenny, from 7pm to 11.30pm.

The event will also feature DJ Matt Lane, live band Diamond City, professional body painting and professional photography. Tickets are £8 and include free body painting, and are available from the Dreamscape Imagery Facebook page.

Proceeds will be donated to Sands and their WHY17 campaign.
