WE have been inundated with entries for our SuperDragons competition and now it up to you to vote for your winner.
Last month the Argus, in conjunction with Newport Council and Newport Festival 2010, launched a competition for readers to design their one SuperDragon that could feature on the SuperDragon trail.
The winner will have their design painted on a SuperDragon by an artist selected by the SuperDragon team.
Two runners-up will get a SuperDragons goody bag and an invitation to the evening preview of the SuperDragons with all the artists and sponsors.
The People’s SuperDragon will be re-created by a professional artist and auctioned off at the end of the trail in October and raise funds for the Born Free and Tenovus charities.
Thousands of people are expected to follow the trail in the summer and the fibreglass statues will be scattered right across Newport.
The SuperDragons project forms part of the Newport Festival 2010 to celebrate not only Newport hosting the 38th Ryder Cup, but also celebrating everything positive about Wales’s newest city.
These are the final five designs: Culture Cymru by Anne Jarrett; Dali Puzzle by Allan Parry; Blaze by Hannah Rowlands; Lilly by Michelle Pollit and Swot by Kasper Urbanski.
You have until Wednesday, July 15 to vote for your favourite.
The winner will be announced in the few weeks.

Send a postcard to SuperDragons comp, South Wales Argus, Cardiff Road, Newport with your name, address and the name of the design you would like to win. Log on to www.southwalesargus.co.uk and vote online

* E-mail: Click the link under the SuperDragon you want to vote for below.
* By phone: Call 09011 510 adding the three digits under the dragon of your choice. For example if it was dragon 564 you would like to vote for simply dial 09011 510 564.
* By text: Send your text to 80360 starting with SUPER-DRAGON leave a space, followed by the three digits under the dragon of your choice.
Calls cost no more than 50p per call from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and some other networks may cost more. Texts cost 50p plus your normal operator text charge.
