comment Comments (10)   Have your say »

By South Wales Argus »

SINCE the Argus website re-launched last week we've received lots of comments from readers, some good and some bad.

We've taken onboard some of the points you've raised, in particular making it easier to find the sections you want to look at.

Over the past few days we've done the following:

  • Placed a Family Announcements link at the top of the site
  • Put a link to Horoscopes under Leisure
  • Increased visibilty of 'Contact Us' section

Some of you may be having problems leaving comments on our stories. If you had registered as a commenter previously, you will have to re-register to leave a comment. This should only take a minute to do. If you have problems at this stage let us know.

If you have any other questions or suggestions click here to tell us.

Thanks for your help.

It's OK. No better, no worse.

It is not compatible with the Disability Discrimination Act as blind people can't see the stupid security words.

Could blind people post before then?

1.Please get spelling correct when you set up account "Your Say - Registration Succesful"

2. Can we have a margin on left hand side (see any other news website)

3. Home page a mess

The Deaths section of the family announcements does not group the notices by the name of the deceased, unlike the old site which also used to have a search facility to allow all the notices for an individual to be found easily. As it currently contains 246 items this is very time-consuming as at 10 per page you need 25 transmits to make sure that you've seen all the notices.

Bit of a dogs dinner in my view. First glances and it seems to be very difficult to navigate compared to the old web site.
Too much information with a three column web page, your eyes don't know where to look next!

This is my first visit to the new site, would probably have been my last, but having registered and logged-in, the site will not allow me to log-out?

I agree that it is unacceptably slow, and far too complicated to navigate and too difficult to read.
