GWENT Police are reporting that the incident involved two cars and a motorbike.
The driver of one of the cars and the driver of the motorbike were treated at the Royal Gwent Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

TWO people have been taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital following a crash between a car and a motorcyle in Newport this evening.
Emergency services have been called to a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Chepstow Road in Maindee.
The ambulance service received a call from police at 6.56pm to attend the scene next to Maindee car park.
Newport City Councillor Majid Rahman, who passed the scene, said that fire crews were attempting to cut the passengers out of the car.
Mr Rahman also said that police have cordoned off the area and are diverting traffic down London Street.
He added: "While I didn't see the actual accident, it seems like it was a terrible one."
A spokesman from the ambulance service said: "Two ambulances attended the scene and two casualties were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital.
"The scene at Chepstow Road has now returned to normal."
