Baseball match helps a worthy cause

ON Sunday, September 24, the hardy souls of the Station Hotel and Cogan Coronation Club took to the field for the annual baseball challenge.

A highly entertaining game was watched by a healthy crowd, and unusually, this year’s match resulted in a draw – but no hospital casualties!

A fantastic total of £1,055 was raised which will be donated to Ysgol Erwr Delyn and local Junior sports teams.

Ian and Bert would like to say a big, big thank you to Lisa, Patch and Sam for their sterling work providing the top class catering, all the generous people who donated prizes for the raffle, the Coronation boys for providing, setting up and running the many stalls, team captains Richie and Charlie, Tiny and Tony for their post-match hospitality and both teams for providing a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment.
