Louisa's tonic for a long life

ONE of Gwent's oldest residents celebrated reaching the grand old age of 108 today.
Sprightly Louisa Shephard was born in Blaenavon in 1898 and still lives in the town, at the Arthur Jenkins residential nursing home.
Mrs Shephard puts her long life down to hot milk with a dash of whiskey each evening.
