Hereford v County postponed

8:29am Saturday 29th December 2012 in Sport

NEWPORT County's Blue Square Premier trip to Hereford United today has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A preliminary check on the playing surface yesterday afternoon indicated the game was in extreme doubt and the Edgar Road surface failed an inspection this morning after heavy rain overnight.

No date has been set for the rearranged fixture.

Wrexham dropping 2 points has done County a big favour. But it shows that nothing is certain in this league. I think it will go to the wire for whoever is in the top 2.

a game in hand over both grimspy and wrexham, a very open league this year, only 26 points between top and bottom
