HOME favourite Craig Woodruff shocked Tony Pace to win the Welsh lightweight title at the Newport Centre.
The Alway boxer, trained by former British champion Steve Sims, dominated all six rounds against the Talbot Green man and Pace's corner threw in the towel before the seventh.
British Master champ Pace was well behind on the judge's scorecards when the end came.
There were also wins for St Joseph's youngsters Mitchell Buckland and Dai Jones, Gary Lockett fighter Liam Williams and Cardiff debutant Craig Kennedy, trained by former world champion Steve Robinson.
