CEFN Fforest boxing star Nathan Cleverly’s next fight has been postponed from March 16 to April 20.

The 26-year-old was due to defend his WBO world light-heavyweight title against Robin Krasniqi at Wembley Arena a week on Saturday.

He was the joint headline act alongside WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns’ unification title fight with IBF belt-holder Miguel Vazquez.

But the show has been delayed by a month due to the Mexican suffering from a severe viral infection.

A statement on promoter Frank Warren’s website also revealed that Cleverly may also have struggled to fight in two weeks’ time.

It read: “Cleverly will welcome the postponement as he has been suffering from a stomach virus that left him unable to train for five days last week and then when he resumed training he relapsed again.

“This will ensure that he is back to full fitness for the new date.”
