WALES under-21s play their latest UEFA Under 21 qualifier against Lithuania at the BookPeople Stadium, Bangor City FC, at 2pm today.
Manager Geraint Williams said: “It is important that we get a result as so far the performances have not been that bad so far; we have had plenty of possession, had our chances, but the results have not been good enough.
“It’s important for this group of players to understand what we are trying to do, the philosophy of the system.
"These boys have come-into it late - for the younger age groups they are seeing it from the Under 16 side upwards.
"So often, the last thing you learn is the first thing you forget. But for the belief to be there, they must have the results.”
Swansea City youngster Lee Lucas added: "I’ve never played against a Lithuanian side, but I am sure they will be hard to break-down, but we have to try and win our home games.”
“We now have two home games on the bounce (San Marino on Tuesday) and maximum points are essential as there are still more tough games to come.”
