Cromwell U12s A team won 8-1 against Albion Rovers U12s in their re-arranged match that had to be transferred to Lysaghts Park, as Kimberley Park was waterlogged.

It was Cromwell's first match in 5 weeks, but thankfully the lay off didn't show too much or the cold, wet weather, as they raced into the lead, scoring 2 goals in the first 3 minutes, the first a tad fortunate straight from a corner and the other through some good work in midfield that set up a forward to strike home.

Within another 15 minutes they were in the lead to the tune of 5-0, with some great passages of play that came straight from the training field, as they passed around their opponents with confidence, skill and direction [half time 5-0 to Cromwell].

After a few half time replacements and Albion finding a new lease of life, it became more of an even match and both sides created chances to for them to score one apiece to make it 6-1.

Further rotations brought about more control for Cromwell to see them add a couple more goals, thankfully to put the match out of sight of Albion Rovers on a now energy-sapping pitch that tested both teams' endurance.

The coach was pleased with the 'home side's' teamwork and the right the attitude, effort and encouragement which the boys showed, after so long off without a match.

The team thanks all the people who assisted in the setting up the goalposts/pitch and especially at the end when it was time to take it all down again in some awful conditions!
