County v Plymouth is OFF

TONIGHT'S Newport County versus Plymouth Argyle match is off.

The Rodney Parade pitch is again waterlogged after more heavy rainfall overnight and this morning.

The decision to postpone the match was made after a pitch inspection by the match referee at 12.30pm today.

The match has now been rearranged for Tuesday, April 8, at 7.45pm.

max porter is right these postponed matches are going to cost county their promotion push this season , and the company that didnt get the drainage sorted out in the summer should be shot

there is a big difference playing a match on its original date only a point or two behind the play offs , to playing it again 2 months later , 10 points behind and knowing you have to win the match to stay in contention..........
....... the extra pressure, the crammed revised schedule due to excessive postponements, and the knowledge that one loss will probably mean the end of your season.

all that momentum that county were buidling in december gone, the undefeated record of 7 or so games, 5 consecutive clean sheets, all that replaced with 3 defeats against relegation threatened sides and a another draw , all momentum lost , and only 9 points from shooting down to the wrong end of the table.

forgive my frustration, but i dont think there will be another houdini act this year as the sides in league 2 are of a higher quality than the conference.....

anyone for water polo;-)
