HEADS of the Valley junior swimmers attended the St David's Day Torfaen Dolphins invitation meet, a friendly event with Chepstow and Torfaen Dolphins also competing.
The age groups for the competition were eight to 12-year-olds.
Some of the Heads of the Valley swimmers were competing in their very first competition and the coaches Jackie Gwillim, Rachel Joseph, Bethan Jenkins, Claire Watson were very pleased at how well they all performed.
In the eight year age group Emeila Joesph, Mia Reynolds, Rhian Jones, Rebekah Ramsey and Ellie Hughes all performed superbly.
In the nine to ten year age group Tahnee Jones, Samantha Lloyd-Jones, Kaitlyn Hooper, Sophie Hughes, Carys Jenkins, Saskia McKay, Abi Meyrick, Millicent Williams, Mia Griffths, Lauren French, Maisy Palin, Ioan Coburn, Conrad Klappholz, Gregor Watson, Llewellyn Higgins, Daniel Evans, Mason Parfit, Tomas Ramsey and Cameron French all excelled.
In the 11 to 12 year age group Ella Wilkins, Imogen Kelly Murphy, Ffion Witcombe, Jessica Goold, Lauren Davies, Evie Wilkins, Heather Smith, Lucy Brown, Rebecca Klappholz, Molly Palin, Ruby Barker, Liam Jones, Connor Jones, Dylan Williams, Kian O'Connel and Ellis Smith were the stars.
And in the novice age eight to 12 years front crawl event Ioan Steadman performed brilliantly.
