Steelmen vote Regan as their star man

CAMERON Regan was voted as player of the year by his Ebbw Vale teammates at the Championship champions' awards night.

The back row forward was also named most promising player, voted for by supporters of the Steelmen, who also plumped for tighthead prop Robert Sevenoaks at their player of the year.

Awards: top try scorer – Wes Cunliffe, Gareth Howls captain's award – Damien Hudd, most promising player (supporters' vote) – Cameron Regan, Ivor Evans clubman of the year (supporters' vote) Damien Hudd, players' player of the year – Cameron Regan, supporters' player of the year – Robert Sevenoaks, Clive Burgess Man of Steel – Damien Hudd.

Club surgeon Rhys Thomas was made a life member of the club.
