FORMER Newport County midfield duo Max Porter and Lee Minshull have signed for Bromley Town, newly promoted to the Conference.
Both men were pivotal in County’s promotion from the Conference to League Two and spent three-and-a-half years at Spytty Park and then Rodney Parade, having been signed by manager Justin Edinburgh.
The duo link-up with ex-Exiles stopper Alan Julian, already on the books at the club which will be local to the London and Essex based players.
On the latest additions, Bromley boss Mark Goldberg commented, "We are pleased to be able to add both National League and League Two experience to our squad with these two significant signings."
Meanwhile two other former Exiles, Paul Bignot and Christian Jolley, have been released by Grimsby after their failure to achieve promotion, beaten 5-3 on penalties against Bristol Rovers in the Conference play-off final.
