FORMER Newport County AFC winger Alex Rodman has completed his move to League Two rivals Notts County.

Rodman played 25 times for the Exiles last season and scored four goals, one at Meadow Lane last December.

Magpies boss John Sheridan managed Rodman at Rodney Parade last season and Rodman says that was a big factor in his decision to turn down a new contract offer in Newport and move to Nottingham.

"I've worked with him before - he came in when we were having a bad spell at Newport last year and he turned the tide around," he told the Notts County club website.

"I know how he works, I know how he likes to play and what he wants from his players, and that was a big factor in me coming here."
