NEWPORT County AFC have announced that Friday night football will be returning to Rodney Parade in November following the decision to move the home match against Port Vale.

The League Two clash was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 11, but will now be moved to Friday, November 10, (kick-off 7.45pm).

County say the rearrangement is due to the original fixture clashing with the Welsh international rugby match against Australia in Cardiff, which was thought likely to have a negative effect on the attendance and traffic in the Newport area.

The decision to move the fixture had been delayed as a result of Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign and potential play-off fixtures that were due to take place over the same weekend in November.

Any supporters who have purchased tickets for this fixture already will be able to use their current tickets on the day of the match or obtain a refund from the ticket office.
