SIX Dragons players will make their European debuts tomorrow night when Bernard Jackman’s men take on Russians Enisei-STM in the group stages of the Challenge Cup (kick-off 7.30pm).

Half-back pairing Arwel Robson and Dan Babos start, while James Sheekey, Ben Roach, Owain Leonard and Robson Blake are all set to appear off the bench.

Wales internationals Hallam Amos, Cory Hill, Leon Brown and Elliot Dee are all being rested.

Head coach Jackman makes four changes to his starting XV from last Friday’s thrilling draw against Ulster in the Guinness PRO14.

As well as Robson, winger Pat Howard, loosehead Thomas Davies and second row Rynard Landman come into the side as the Dragons look to complete a double over Enisei.

Outside fly-half Robson there is an unchanged centre partnership of Adam Warren and Jack Dixon, Jared Rosser stays on the wing and Angus O’Brien is at full-back.

Thomas Davies packs down alongside hooker Liam Belcher and tighthead Lloyd Fairbrother, while Joe Davies partners Landman behind.

And there is no change to the back row of Aaron Wainwright, skipper Ollie Griffiths and James Benjamin.

Gerard Ellis, Sam Hobbs, Luke Garrett and Gavin Henson are also among the replacements.

“The group who played against Ulster performed reasonably well and they deserve another crack at backing it up,” said Jackman.

“Character is everything. Character is more important than talent. But now we have to back it up, we can’t just do it when we are being put under pressure.

“It’s easy to do that when fighting your way out of a corner. Can we do it when people are saying ‘well done, you’ve had a great match’? That’s the challenge now.”

He continued: “The biggest question against Ulster was about character. We showed that and hopefully the fans are starting to be prouder of us.

“When we play like that, with spirit and heart, they get attached to it. We played some good stuff and I don’t think we were lucky to get a draw, it was deserved.

“I think we just need to represent the region well. Fans will accept this year if we don’t win every game and if they see big commitment, sacrifice and abrasiveness then they are going to follow us.”
