EBBW Vale can book a trip to Bargoed in the last eight of the National Cup should they beat Bridgend in their rearranged second-round tie at the Brewery Field tonight (kick-off 7.30pm).
The Steelmen head west after the clash, originally scheduled for January 27, was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
This evening’s encounter comes four days before the two teams meet in the Principality Premiership, also at the Brewery Field.
Greg Woods’ Ebbw go into the first of the double-header with Bridgend full of confidence following last Friday’s excellent 19-5 defeat of Pontypridd.
As for Bridgend, they saw their Pandy Park showdown with Cross Keys on Saturday fall to the wet weather.
The other outstanding round two cup tie, between Beddau and Bedwas, will be played next Wednesday.
