PONTYPOOL’S WRU National Cup quarter-final against Principality Premiership champions Merthyr has been rearranged for Tuesday, March 20 (kick-off 7.15pm).
The clash between Leighton Jones’ runaway Championship leaders, who stunned Carmarthen Quins in the last 16, and the Premiership standard bearers was postponed last weekend because of snow at the Wern.
That tie on the Ironmen’s 3G pitch will now take place on the same evening as the last-eight fixture between Bedwas and Newport (kick-off 7.15pm) while Bargoed entertain Ebbw Vale the following evening.
A date has yet to be announced for the meeting between Cross Keys and Llandovery at Pandy Park while the draw for the semi-finals, which will be played at neutral grounds, will be held on Thursday, March 22.
