NEWPORT County AFC boss Michael Flynn is the 28th longest-serving manager in the English Football League – despite taking charge just 15 months ago.

Morecambe's Jim Bentley tops the list with the 2018-2019 campaign to be his eighth full season in charge.

Gareth Ainsworth comes next; the Wycombe Wanderers' boss is set to embark on his first season in League One this term, where he'll come up against another five of the top 10 in Neal Ardley, Keith Hill, Darrell Clarke, John Coleman and Derek Adams.

Grant McCann completes the 72 following his appointment at Doncaster Rovers, rounding off a busy summer of activity for EFL chairmen.
