KODY Davies says “everything is going to be different” for his encounter with Anth-ony Fox at Cardiff’s Ice Arena Wales tonight.

The unbeaten super- middleweight faces Fox over six rounds on the undercard of Matchroom Boxing’s JD NXTGEN show.

Davies comfortably outpointed Eric Mokonzo last time out but was criticized for his showboating during the bout on the David Haye-Tony Bellew undercard.

Trainer Gavin Rees wasn’t too pleased with his fighter’s antics either, and Pontllanfraith’s Davies has promised an overhaul in his approach to tackling Fox.

“It’s good to get on the big shows on TV and get some experience and some exposure,” said Davies, who has won all five contests to date.

“I was enjoying myself in my last fight, coasting really, and Gavin was a bit manic because he wanted me to go for the knockout.

“Looking back, obviously I should have, but I got the win and I’m moving on to Saturday now.”

He added: “I was just enjoying it and got carried away a little bit with the cameras and stuff like that. I should have put my head down and taken his head off.”

On tonight’s challenge, he said: “Everything’s going to be different this time.

“I’m on the back foot a lot being a flashy boxer so I’ve holding my feet more and letting some power shots go.

“I’m a big, strong super-middle, whereas before I was a smaller cruiserweight as an amateur, so I’m going to use my attributes to my advantage at super-middleweight and start landing some bombs.

“One thing’s for sure, I’ve been working hard and I’m looking to put on a show and get a solid win by KO.”

Providing everything goes well tonight, Davies will be in action again on September 7.

He joins the likes of Sean McGoldrick, Craig Evans and Lance Cooksey on the MTK Global show at the Vale Sports Arena in Cardiff.
