DEAN Holdsworth's first competitive match in charge of Newport County will be against his former club AFC Wimbledon on the opening day of the Blue Square South season.

The Londoners, formed after the original Wimbledon 'franchise' moved to Milton Keynes to become MK Dons, travel to Spytty Park on Saturday, August 9, kick off at 3pm.
