Danny Lee retires

First published in Sport

NEWPORT Gwent Dragons have confirmed that scrum-half Danny Lee has retired because of a shoulder injury.

The 34-year-old, who was capped twice by New Zealand, made just 12 appearances for the region after being dogged by a host of injuries.

His last Dragons appearance was in the loss to Connacht in Galway in September.

Sprry to hear that Danny has decided to retire, hope he has more luck with whatever he does in the future. However, does this mean the Dragons now have room (and money) available for a replacement to be brought in, if so let it be done with great deal of thought as we don't want just another player who will simply be used during practice or farmed off to a Premier team as we need some very solid support at the Dragons.
