Lee Churcher wins Welsh title

NEWPORT'S Lee Churcher stopped Ferndale's Barrie Jones to win the vacant Welsh middleweight title at the Newport Centre last night.
The 31-year-old, who won the British Masters title at the same venue in October last year, added the Welsh belt to his collection with a hard-earned TKO vitory in the ninth round.
Elsewhere on the Inner Core Promotions show there were wins for Newport duo Justyn Hugh and Craig Woodruff, for Cardiff's Lewis Patterson and Lance Sheehan of Aberdare.
