Newport's Fred Evans secures medal in tight contest
NEWPORT'S Fred Evans narrowly booked a place in the Olympic semi-final after beating Canadian Custio Clayton on a countback.
The St Joseph's trained southpaw took the Welterweight/69kg contest at the ExCel Arena by the slimmest of margins and is now guatanteed a medal.
