Hartson reveals Bale injury worry

Wales coach John Hartson is confident Gareth Bale and Adam Matthews will both be fit for Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland.

Hartson confirmed Totten-ham wide man Bale and Celtic defender Matthews - neither of whom had taken part in the Dragons’ training session on Tuesday - were nursing heel and ankle problems respectively, but stressed the pair are expected to be available for the Group A clash with the Scots at Cardiff City Stadium.

“Gareth Bale came down to the training ground today and worked with the physio,” Hartson said.

“We feel he will be okay for Friday. It was just a case of getting him ready.

“Adam Matthews did the same as Gareth, but we feel they will both be fine.”

Hartson also revealed Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley, a third player not to feature in Tuesday's session, had taken part in full training yesterday and will be fit for Friday’s clash.

Another tatering for us on friday may at least bring forward the sacking of that muppet Coleman, whoever thought it was a good reason to put him in charge of Wales needs sectioning.

Cwmbran Man.
I am afraid that you are correct and on past performances with Coleman in charge, we have reurned abruptly to the pre Speed era. (Toshack years).
It is quite an astonishing reversal of success.

Wales are effectively already out of qualifying so even if Wales scrape a result against Scotland it means nothing. Hartson has no coaching experience so why is he even near an international squad ? More FAW 'jobs for the boys' (like Coleman). There's an abundance of coaches all over Europe with experience of getting international results with less capable countries/players than Wales and probably a lot cheaper than these muppets.
