BLACKWOOD’S Bradley Dredge is hoping for extra tournaments in the remainder of the season after a disappointing finish to the Portugal Masters that kept him from securing a European Tour card.

Dredge needs to place in the top 115 on the European Race to Dubai rankings but is only 116th after finishing outside the top 50 in Portugal.

Now Dredge is hoping to add to his schedule.

"I needed to shoot low in the final round of the Portugal Masters to earn the cheque I need to keep my playing card for next season. But I simply did not have the ammunition in my bag," he said.

"Finishing outside the top 50 leaves me sweating on how much golf I’m getting in the next few weeks.

"I may yet get into the Hong Kong Open and if I don't will certainly get a start the same week in the South African Open.

"But what would really help would be a positive response to a request for an invite to play in the Singapore Open."
